RM Sotheby\u2019s is set to bring 170 motorcars to its single-day Santa Monica<\/a> auction in the California seaside city\u2019s historic Barker Hangar on Saturday June 24. Included in the selection are a number stunning American Classics, including one of the most distinctive and respected cars from the Classic Era, a 1934 Packard Twelve Club Sedan<\/a> (above photo courtesy of RM Sotheby\u2019s). One of only a handful built, this car is arguably the best example of its kind in existence. Among the other American Classics at the sale will be a pure, matching-numbers 1929 Duesenberg Model J<\/a> and a highly sought-after 1930 Cadillac V16<\/a> wearing its original roadster body.<\/p>\n

The remainder of the sale lineup ranges from a recently restored 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL<\/a>, finished in a unique shade of light green over a dark green interior, to a U.S.-delivery 1992 Ferrari F40<\/a> with less than 16,000 miles on its odometer.
