La Leggenda di Bassano is a historic racing event on the calendars of the FIVA (F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale des V\u00e8hicules Anciens) and the ASI (Automotoclub Storico Italiano) that is unique because it is run for Sport-Barchetta racing cars built until 1960. This year\u2019s event, held over the weekend of June 22-25, featured 32 car brands from 13 world countries that, after completing the final stage of the drive over the most beautiful roads of the Dolomites, arrived for its grand finale in Piazza Libert\u00e0, Bassano del Grappa.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s winners of the prestigious Giannino Marzotto Trophy and the accompanying watches from Eberhard & Co. were Andrea Giacoppo and Daniela Grillone Tecioiu from Vicenza, driving a 1933 Fiat 508 S Coppa d\u2019Oro.<\/p>\n
More than a competition, La Leggenda di Bassano has always been an event of friendship among competitors, some of whom have participated in more than 20 editions of the race. Various personalities were present at the award ceremony, held in the magnificent Sala della Bottaia (the Barrel Maker’s Room), at Distillerie Poli: the Regional Councillor Elena Donazzan, Councillor Giovanni Cunico from the Municipality of Bassano del Grappa, the ASI President Roberto Loi, the President of ACI Vicenza, Valter Bizzotto and two time World Rally Champion Miki Biasion \u2014 brand ambassador for the event\u2019s main sponsor, Eberhard & Co. \u2014 who also took part in the race as a competitor.
