{"id":496831,"date":"2017-08-01T01:43:27","date_gmt":"2017-08-01T01:43:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/\/?p=49102"},"modified":"2024-12-02T19:37:18","modified_gmt":"2024-12-02T19:37:18","slug":"rush","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/rush\/","title":{"rendered":"Automotive Art \u2013 Nicolas Cancelier&#8217;s &#8220;Rush&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class='memberful-global-teaser-content'>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Niki Lauda and James Hunt Artwork<\/h2>\n<p>Nicloas Cancelier depicts the protagonists who fought for the 1976 Formula One World Championship.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Some time ago, Nicolas Cancelier decided he should work on a series of paintings about the great fighting duels in Formula One.\u00a0The first in the series was that between Gilles Villeneuve and Didier Pironi\u2014Ferrari teammates, but fierce rivals.\u00a0Their darkest moment was obviously at Imola, in 1982, during the San Marino GP. \u00a0Some years earlier the fight between Niki Lauda and James Hunt was an epic story of two guys that was recently celebrated by Hollywood with the release of the film Rush. Cancelier thought that was a great title and, indeed, gave the title to this work.\u00a0 Had he lived, James Hunt would have celebrated his 70th birthday during the month of August 2017\u2014so the artist thought it seemed appropriate to offer this piece in recognition of the former World Champion\u2019s racing career.\u00a0While Cancelier works in many mediums, ranging from simple pencil sketches to mixed media, acrylic, watercolor and oils, this work is oil on canvas, measuring 120cm x 80cm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<style>\n        .memberful-global-teaser-content p:last-child{\n            -webkit-mask-image: linear-gradient(180deg, #000 0%, transparent);\n            mask-image: linear-gradient(180deg, #000 0%, transparent);\n        }\n    <\/style>\n<div class='memberful-global-marketing-content'>\n<div class=\"a07online-global-marketing-content-wrapper\">\n<h2 class=\"a07online-global-marketing-title\">No Subscription?
