Mecum Auctions registered $20 million in overall sales when it returned to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, last week with 858 vehicles on offer at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex. In just three days, 636 vehicles hammered sold for a 74-percent sell-through rate.<\/p>\n

American muscle cars dominated the Harrisburg spotlight, with seven of the top 10 sellers coming from the muscle-car era. Two \u201cwinged warriors\u201d commanded the highest bids of the auction, with a multiple award-winning 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird<\/a> (above, photo courtesy of Mecum Auctions) hammering at $415,000 to claim top sale honors, followed by a 1969 Dodge Daytona<\/a> going for $215,000.<\/p>\n
