1934 MG Q-type<\/h1>\n

The story of how, in 1923, the first MG\u2014under the guidance of Cecil Kimber\u2014grew from the Bullnose Morris car is well known. The secret of success for MG was that it was able to supply light, open cars at highly competitive prices. Known as the M.G. Super Sports, the first examples were lightly modified mainstream Morris models. However, they struck a chord with those British motorists who were after something a little different from the mainstream.<\/p>\n

Some five years later, in 1928, came the introduction of a car that not only wore an MG badge, but was a distinctly different motor car. This model was the M-type Midget, and while it was based on the Morris Minor of the day, it offered unprecedented performance and value, as well as being a distinct MG model and not just a modified Morris.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
