As it prepares for its 19th<\/sup> renewal, the Goodwood Revival will continue its tradition of honoring numerous legends of the sport and this year will be no exception, with Rolex ambassadors Sir Jackie Stewart and Tom Kristensen in attendance.<\/p>\n

Kristensen will return to the track looking to replicate his spectacular victory in last year\u2019s inaugural Kinrara Trophy race (above, Jad Sherif photo courtesy of Goodwood Revival). The 2017 edition will once again present the stunning pre-1963 GT cars racing into the sunset, as the Rolex Clock on the Marshal Tower counts down the 60-minute, two-driver contest.<\/p>\n

\u201cGoodwood Revival is the greatest celebration of its kind,\u201d said Sir Jackie Stewart, \u201cnot only do the very best cars come to the Revival but also the most passionate people. Rolex is at the very heart of the event \u2014 the great drivers and mechanics of the past and present are able to experience the Revival in a very privileged way at the Rolex Drivers\u2019 Club\u201d<\/p>\n

Audiences will also delight in seeing the return of the Brooklands Trophy to an action-packed program, which also features daily tributes to the Le Mans-winning Ecurie Ecosse team, 60 years after it took on one of motor sport\u2019s biggest challenges and won it for the second time. Three of the team\u2019s 11 original long-nose Jaguar D-Types will take part in high-speed track demonstrations during the Revival.<\/p>\n

Over the course of the three days, the drivers, all determined to be first to the checkered flag, will also be looking to catch the attention of the judges who determine the Rolex Driver of the Meeting. The glittering summer of motor sport at Goodwood concludes when the Earl of March announces the winner at the prize-giving ceremony on the Race Control balcony.<\/p>\n
