Event organizer Peter Auto uniquely decided to celebrate Ferrari\u2019s 70<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary with the Le Mans 24 Hours as the main theme (above, Julien Hergault photo courtesy of Chantilly Art &amp; Elegance). Thus did 28 cars bearing the Prancing Horse badge \u2014 all of which had taken part in the most famous endurance race in the world \u2014 gather for the occasion, divided up into five classes.<\/p>\n<p>The Best of Show award for post-war cars went to the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa 58 (chassis #0728), owned by Sir Michael Kadoorie, that won the 24-hour Sarthe classic in 1958 driven by Olivier Gendebien and Phil Hill. Among the pre-war cars, the class reserved for Bugattis attracted four Type 57 S models and crowned one of them, the 1936 Bugatti Atlantic (chassis #57374) owned by Americans Rob Walton and Peter Mullin, as Best of Show.<\/p>\n<p>The presence of 42 clubs that displayed 800 cars was also an integral part of the show, and helped make the huge garden party to which visitors were welcome, a success.
