Kubota prevailed in Saturday\u2019s first race after fending off an early challenge from Greg Thornton (Lotus 91). Starting from pole position, Kubota gradually opened up a final margin of victory measuring 3.6 seconds. Taking 3<sup>rd<\/sup> was James Hagan (Tyrrell 011), who was chased home by Ron Maydon (LEC CRP1) in 4<sup>th<\/sup> as Jamie Constable (Embassy Lola T370) filled out the top five.<\/p>\n<p>For Sunday\u2019s second race, Kubota again managed to stay ahead of Thornton throughout, with the final margin of victory clocking in at 3.4 seconds. A fraught duel for 3<sup>rd<\/sup> between Maydon and Constable enlivened the early going before Maydon\u2019s retirement left Constable unchallenged for the final podium step.
