Officials from Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) and Peter Auto have announced an exclusive partnership that will allow both organizations to adopt a common set of rules and regulations for the premier Group C category. The new regulations will get their first outing this weekend, November 8-12, at HSR\u2019s Classic at Daytona presented by IMSA at Daytona International Speedway.<\/p>\n
In addition the Classic at Daytona, HSR’s sister Classic 12 Hour at Sebring, November 30-December 3, at Sebring International Raceway, will also find Group C competitors racing under the uniform HSR\/Peter Auto Group C regulations. Participation in the Group C class in both the Daytona and Sebring races will fulfill the requirement that calls for competitors to have run two \u201cqualifying\u201d races prior to racing in the Le Mans Classic in 2018.<\/p>\n
Owned and operated by Patrick Peter, Peter Auto has created many events for modern and classic cars in its home country of France and abroad. The list includes the Le Mans Classic, created in partnership with the ACO, that, like the Classic at Daytona, is a tribute event to the legendary 24-hour races run each year at Circuit de la Sarthe and Daytona International Speedway, respectively.<\/p>\n
