During the 1950s, he joined the Shadoff Chrysler team to help construct one of the fastest vehicles ever built, which they then took to Utah\u2019s Bonneville Salt Flats seeking the land speed record in their class. To this day he still has a passion for performance and speed.<\/p>\n<p>In 2010, Rolland opened the Rolland Racing Museum, a private automobile exhibit located in Newbury Park, California. The museum is home to a variety of collectible automobiles, including five Indianapolis racecars, six midget racecars from the 1950s, and seven custom hot rods. Among the racecars to be offered is a Dallara Indy Racing League car from the year 2000 (above, photo courtesy of Leake Auction Company).<\/p>\n<p>Many of the automobiles from his collection will be offered without reserve on December 9, 2017, at a Leake Auction Company sale in the Rolland Racing Museum located in Newbury Park, California.
