{"id":497118,"date":"2017-11-15T10:56:43","date_gmt":"2017-11-15T10:56:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/\/?p=52875"},"modified":"2023-12-07T19:38:41","modified_gmt":"2023-12-07T19:38:41","slug":"7th-annual-texas-concours-sets-2018-date","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/7th-annual-texas-concours-sets-2018-date\/","title":{"rendered":"Concours of Texas (2018) \u2013 Sets Date"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Concours d&#8217;Elegance of Texas, one of the largest vintage motoring and luxury lifestyle events in the state, has announced that the 7<sup>th <\/sup>annual three-day celebration will again take place in the Arlington Entertainment District on April 20-22, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur Concours d\u2019Elegance of Texas is one of the top-tier exhibitions in the country,\u201d commented concours chairman Mike Ames. \u201cWith the support of the Arlington Convention and Visitor\u2019s Bureau, the City of Arlington and our community partners, we look forward to an even larger exhibition of vehicles, as well as the introduction of some new and exciting events at this year\u2019s celebration.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Concours weekend will kick off on Friday, April 21, with a Concours Tour and Track Day, featuring a police-escorted tour departing from Six Flags Over Texas and cruising to the Motorsport Ranch in\u00a0Cresol, Texas,\u00a0where a variety of vintage and exotic track events will take place. Also scheduled for Friday will be a preview and cocktail reception for Saturday\u2019s Texas Classic Auction presented by Worldwide Auctioneers. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.WorldWideAuctioneer.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.WorldWideAuctioneer.com<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the auction, Saturday\u2019s activities will feature The Concours\u00a0Cowboys\u00a0&amp; Cars Charity Event, which will be open to all Concours and Auction participants and their families at a location to be determined. Silent and live auction items will be available, with proceeds benefiting Concours charities.<\/p>\n<p>The event culminates with the Concours d\u2019Elegance itself on\u00a0Sunday April 22 at the Richard Greene Linear Park. An open-to-the-public event, the concours is highly recommended for spectators of all ages, featuring as it does a world-class gathering of vintage motorcars in a glorious lakeside setting overlooking
