It\u2019s come to my recent attention that I have an alcohol problem. Truthfully, I had no idea, but apparently, I\u2019ve had one for at least the past two years. It was insidiously gradual. At first, it was just occasional, but then as time progressed, it became pretty much every weekend. It seemed like I could work through it at first, I mean, it made it tough to get going in the mornings sure\u2026but eventually I\u2019d get going. However, as time progressed, it simply got worse and worse. Some days I couldn\u2019t get going at all and then, most recently, I couldn\u2019t even make it into work.<\/p>\n

At first, I tried dealing with it myself, with all the usual self-analysis and rationalization. \u201cI\u2019ve got this!\u201d I said, \u201cI can fix this.\u201d But it only seemed to get worse. Finally, last month, I had to come to terms with the reality that this was beyond me and that I couldn\u2019t resolve this by myself. As painful as it was for me to admit, I had to seek professional help.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
