The occasion is Titanic D\u00e9j\u00e0 Vu Ulster, another of D\u00e9j\u00e0 Vu Motorsport\u2019s popular rally reunions in aid of charity, set for September 1. The designated beneficiary for this event is We Are MacMillan Cancer Support.<\/p>\n<p>Thirty-four years have passed since R\u00f6hrl and co-driver Christian Geistd\u00f6rfer blasted their Group B Audi Quattro S4 over the Antrim, Down and Fermanagh stages to obliterate the opposition. Those who witnessed their performance rate it as one of the greatest drives in Irish rallying history, as Walter and Christian defeated Russell Brookes, Jimmy McRae and Bertie Fisher by more than four minutes.<\/p>\n<p>The Porsche-contracted German driver will return to Ulster to head a cavalcade of historic rally cars over famous Antrim stages such as Glen Dunn and Torr Head. He will be joined by many of his contemporaries and a host of other rally stars at a gala dinner in Titanic Belfast on Saturday September 1.<\/p>\n<p>The two-day event, based in Belfast\u2019s Titanic Quarter begins Friday August 31 with Registration in the afternoon and a Welcome Reception that evening. Saturday\u2019s \u201cStage Cavalcade\u201d is scheduled for 10 a.m., when participants will begin traversing a 150-mile route over classic Texaco, Circuit of Ireland and Ulster Rally stages. That evening\u2019s Gala Dinner will commence at 7:30 p.m. in Titanic Belfast, and feature videos, star driver interviews and other entertainment.
