Utilizing the power plant from the DS and the steering components from the Maserati-powered SM, the 1975 CX2200 Berline succeeded the DS, being named <em>Motor Trend<\/em> \u201cCar of the Year\u201d in January 1975. The 1971 SM Bonneville Racecar combined Citro\u00ebn\u2019s front-wheel-drive technology with a Maserati V6, making it one of the most popular sports cars of its day and the 1972 <em>Motor Trend<\/em> Car of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve always been captivated by the unique aesthetic that is signature to the Citro\u00ebn brand,\u201d said Peter Mullin, the Museum\u2019s founder and CEO. \u201cPaired with exceptional technological features, the vehicles were truly ahead of their time.
