Fully restored American muscle cars from General Motors are filling the docket for Barrett-Jackson<\/a>\u2019s 16th<\/sup> Annual Palm Beach Auction, set for April 12-15, 2018, at the South Florida Fairgrounds. Highlighting the selection are a rare 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge Ram Air IV to be sold at no reserve, one of only 549 Judges with the Ram Air IV engine option, and a 1974 Pontiac Trans Am 455 Super Duty, also offered at no reserve, that is one of only 943 built.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe American muscle cars of the 1960s and 1970s are among the most iconic collector cars in the world,\u201d said Craig Jackson<\/a>, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. \u201cThat generation ushered in a whole new level of innovation, performance and racing capabilities that broke new ground with design and technology. General Motors was one of the most prolific builders of these American muscle cars during this era, and some of those groundbreaking cars, many of which have been beautifully restored and well-preserved, will cross the block in Palm Beach and offer our bidders a chance to own an important part of our American culture.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other offerings scheduled to cross the Palm Beach Auction block with no reserve include: a 1970 GTO Convertible that underwent a body-off restoration in 2016 and is one of only 241 GTO convertibles from that year equipped with 455ci engine and 3-speed automatic transmission; a 1971 Oldsmobile 442 fully restored to exact factory specifications; and a Montero Red \u201966 Pontiac GTO (above, photo courtesy of Barrett-Jackson) that recently underwent a nut-and-bolt restoration with all-original sheet metal.\u00a0For more information please visit Barrett-Jackson.com<\/a><\/p>\n
