{"id":497593,"date":"2018-05-31T11:59:42","date_gmt":"2018-05-31T18:59:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/\/?p=59419"},"modified":"2023-12-07T15:01:19","modified_gmt":"2023-12-07T15:01:19","slug":"evergreen-collection-to-feature-at-3rd-atlanta-concours-delegance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/evergreen-collection-to-feature-at-3rd-atlanta-concours-delegance\/","title":{"rendered":"Atlanta Concours d&#8217;Elegance (2018) &#8211; Evergreen Collection to Feature"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Having made a significant mark within the automotive community during its first two seasons and proving itself as a bona fide Concours recognized for highlighting a distinguished field of entries that include collectible vehicles of national merit, the <b>Atlanta Concours d\u2019Elegance<\/b> moves into its third year by adding a non-profit status to both its mission and its outreach. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>With the establishment of the <b>Atlanta Concours d\u2019Elegance Foundation<\/b>, a non-profit dedicated to restoring mobility to the lives of the disabled &#8212; both civilians and veterans \u2013 the Foundation also channels outreach to enhance the hobby of collecting and restoring classic cars.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>This years\u2019 event, to be held <b>September 29<sup>th<\/sup> and 30<sup>th<\/sup><\/b> at <b>Chateau Elan Winery and Resort in Braselton, GA,<\/b> will expand its community efforts to support both the regional Shepherd Center, along with student involvement from, and financial support to, the McPherson College Automotive Restoration program.<\/p>\n<p>According to Bill Wallet, CEO of the Atlanta Concours, this third year marks a near trifecta for the organization as it offers the ability to reach out beyond the local and regional focus, gaining support and entries from globally renowned car collections such as the Evergreen Historic Automobiles collection; further growth and support from manufacturers and local dealers &#8212; beginning with Porsche adding the Atlanta Concours to its 70<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary celebration of events and taking on the lead marque for the event; and the creation of an all-new mobility area that will not only showcase vendors and sponsors bringing utilities such as all-terrain wheelchairs, but of more importance working with the Shepherd Center to provide appropriate equipment for disabled veterans and those that are handicapped to make the Atlanta Concours a truly accessible show.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>\u201cWe\u2019re quite proud of the strong foothold we\u2019ve gained in both the community and throughout the industry,\u201d said Wallet.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cExpanding our relationship with Evergreen Historic Automobiles \u2013 the largest historic car collection in the U.S. &#8212; is but one example of the strength in quality of cars we\u2019re providing to the people of Atlanta and we\u2019re looking forward to educating our audience on the provenance we are sharing.\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_604762\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-604762\" style=\"width: 1080px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/613854_Evergreen-collection-4.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-604762\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/613854_Evergreen-collection-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1080\" height=\"810\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/613854_Evergreen-collection-4.jpg 1080w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/613854_Evergreen-collection-4-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/613854_Evergreen-collection-4-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/613854_Evergreen-collection-4-100x75.jpg 100w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/613854_Evergreen-collection-4-770x578.jpg 770w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/613854_Evergreen-collection-4-293x220.jpg 293w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-604762\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cars from the Evergreen Collection will feature prominently at this year&#8217;s Atlanta Concours.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Evergreen Historic Automobiles of Lebanon, MO, owned by Stephen R.
