Worldwide Auctioneers has been chosen by the town of Shipshewana, Indiana, to sell the\u00a0Hostetler\u2019s Hudson Auto Museum Collection<\/em><\/strong>, the world\u2019s most complete collection of Hudson, Essex, Terraplane, Railton and Dover cars and trucks.The collection of 69 cars and associated memorabilia will be sold, all no-reserve, on Saturday, August 4th,\u00a0<\/sup>at 760 S. Van Buren St., Shipshewana, the site of the former museum itself.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is going to be a very special sale,\u201d said John Kruse, Principal of Worldwide Auctioneers. This collection was born of the late\u00a0Eldon Hostetler\u2019s life-long passion\u00a0for the marque and it is truly one of the most ardently curated and extraordinary that you\u2019ll ever see. There are numerous one-off and scarcely seen examples that offer the serious collector a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire something exceptional.\u201d<\/p>\n

1928 Model O Town Car.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Included among the collection\u2019s many highlights are a striking one-off 1928 Model O Town Car\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>with coachwork by Murphy, the most expensive Hudson built with an incredible cost of $14,000 new, a storied high-performance 1911 Hudson Model 33 <\/em>Speedster<\/strong>, built to promote Hudson In Puerto Rico, a gorgeous 1955 Hudson Italia <\/em><\/strong>with coachwork by Touring, one of only 26 produced and just three owners from new and a totally restored and exceedingly rare 1942 Hudson Commodore Eight Station Wagon<\/em><\/strong>, with a fascinating history, including an epic recovery from an abandoned California mine.<\/p>\n
