The 11th<\/sup>\u00a0Travers\u00e9e de Paris (<\/span>Summer Crossing of Paris) will take place on Sunday July 22, bringing together 700 vehicles (cars, motorbikes, light utility vehicles, tractors, omnibuses, etc.) of all makes and from all periods to drive through the streets of the French capital.<\/p>\n

Organized by\u00a0<\/span>Vincennes en Anciennes<\/em>, the largest multi-marque club in France, the event annually provides an excellent opportunity for a rendezvous among mechanical enthusiasts, and this year\u2019s theme of \u201cThe Endearing Rolling Heritage<\/b>\u201d promises a number cinematic-themed locations and surprises along the way.<\/p>\n

The Crossing commences from the esplanade of the Ch\u00e2teau de Vincennes and, after a journey of some 30 kilometers, concludes on the Terrace of the Observatory at Meudon, an American military camp, where the cars will be on display and attendees will be able to enjoy a giant picnic. This year, three vintage buses will join the Travers\u00e9e de Paris from Vincennes to Meudon and will be available to take passengers along the rally route, for those unable to bring a vehicle. Booking is mandatory and the number\u00a0of seats is limited (10\u20ac per person). The itinerary of the Crossing is an unpublished secret until just before the start, but the organizers promise the route will provide a number of surprises for participants.<\/p>\n
