Bourne (pop 15,000) a small market town up in \u201cBomber County\u201d as Lincolnshire was known during WWII (due to the large number of bomber bases built on the flat terrain), has counted among its industries ERA (English Racing Automobiles), BRM (British Racing Motors) and Pilbeam.<\/p>\n<p>Most of the roads in Britain were made either by the Romans \u2013 the straight roads &#8211; or by the wandering cows &#8211; the convoluted roads.
