Designed, developed and produced in Germany and Italy, all models will be sold and serviced in all major global markets under the brand name Pininfarina.The new company aims to be the most sustainable luxury car brand in the world <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Text10pt\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The company is a 100% Mahindra &amp; Mahindra Ltd investment and has been named Automobili\u00a0Pininfarina following the signing of a trademark licence agreement between Pininfarina\u00a0SpA and Mahindra &amp; Mahindra Ltd. Pininfarina\u00a0SpA will take an influential role in supporting design and production capacities based on their unique almost 70-year experience of producing many of the world\u2019s most iconic cars.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Text10pt\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Anand Mahindra (Chairman Mahindra &amp; Mahindra), Paolo Pininfarina, (Chairman of Pininfarina\u00a0SpA), and Dr.\u00a0Pawan\u00a0Goenka, (Chairman Mahindra Racing), launched the new car brand with Michael Perschke, CEO Automobili\u00a0Pininfarina, at the Rome Formula E race in April. Mahindra has quickly built up experience of cutting-edge \u2018race-to-road\u2019 sustainable high-performance technological innovation having competed in every Formula E race since the world\u2019s most innovative motor racing series began in 2013. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Text10pt\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Automobili\u00a0Pininfarina will combine this \u2018in-house\u2019 expertise with partnerships with some of the world\u2019s leading automotive design and engineering suppliers to support its aggressive targets for performance and market launch in late\u20112020. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Text10pt\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The first car from Automobili\u00a0Pininfarina will be an ultra-low volume, ultra-luxury electric hypercar codenamed &#8220;PF0&#8221; that will retail at between $2.0 and $2.5 million.
