As Rahal closed on the rejoining Stommelen he seemed to be thinking about lapping the German before making his own second pit stop.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI turned to (Andial crew chief) Alwin Springer,\u201d remembered the late Drino Miller, the team\u2019s technical consultantat the time, \u201cand I said, \u2018I hope Rahal is not so stupid that he\u2019s going to try to pass Rolf.\u2019 Alwin says, \u2018Aww.
