{"id":497936,"date":"2018-11-28T10:32:49","date_gmt":"2018-11-28T18:32:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/\/?p=68382"},"modified":"2023-12-11T20:53:52","modified_gmt":"2023-12-11T20:53:52","slug":"masters-expands-usa-2019-calendar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/masters-expands-usa-2019-calendar\/","title":{"rendered":"Masters Historic Racing (2019) &#8211; Tour Schedule"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"mc-toc-title\">Masters Historic Racing is planning an expanded 2019 season in North America, with new events and a new race series set to be introduced.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Masters will continue its popular Historic Formula One Series, Masters USA, which will be partnered by the exciting new Masters Endurance Legends USA category, to mirror the successful equivalent in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Catering for the same eligibility as its namesake series that has been a huge success in its inaugural season in Europe, but also catering for some additional categories specific to the North American market with Prototypes, GT, GTP and Group C cars up to 2015 included.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Tromans-heads-Masters-Sportscars-into-redgate.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-678281 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Tromans-heads-Masters-Sportscars-into-redgate.jpg\" alt=\" Peter Collins\" width=\"1080\" height=\"629\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Tromans-heads-Masters-Sportscars-into-redgate.jpg 1080w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Tromans-heads-Masters-Sportscars-into-redgate-300x175.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Tromans-heads-Masters-Sportscars-into-redgate-1024x596.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Tromans-heads-Masters-Sportscars-into-redgate-100x58.jpg 100w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Tromans-heads-Masters-Sportscars-into-redgate-770x448.jpg 770w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Tromans-heads-Masters-Sportscars-into-redgate-293x171.jpg 293w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At each event in North America, Masters will cater for the new Masters Endurance Legends USA series with four times 40-minute sessions for 1 or 2 driver teams, alongside the existing Masters Historic Formula One USA series.<br \/>\n<span class=\"mc-toc-title\">\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"mc-toc-title\">The Masters 2019 North American season will begin at <strong>Sonoma Raceway<\/strong> on June 1\/2 for a new prestigious and highly-promoted event in the form of the Sonoma Speed Festival where the Historic Formula One cars will be joined by the Masters Endurance Legends USA field for the first sighting of the new series.<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"mc-toc-title\">On July 12-14, Masters will head across the border to Canada for the HMSA Sommet des Legendes at the <strong>Circuit Mont Tremblant<\/strong> where the Masters USA and Endurance Legends cars will be the star attractions. Both grids are sure to attract huge attention at this fabulous venue!<\/p>\n<p>Following on from Texas, the Masters Endurance Legends USA have been invited by HSR, to take on the <strong>Daytona International Speedway<\/strong> on November 13-17 as part of the HSR Classic 24 Hour and then on December 4-8 at the <strong>Sebring International Speedway<\/strong> for the Sebring Classic 12 Hours. Further details of the invitations from HSR will be available in due course.<\/p>\n<p>Masters Founder and President Ron Maydon said: &#8220;This is a very important season for Masters in North America. We already have a great following from drivers and fans and our Masters USA F1 dates are once again offering drivers some of the best circuits available.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur introduction of Masters Endurance Legends USA will, I am sure, be a huge success. There are plenty of cars in North America and a huge interest in sports car racing and we have already seen a number of these cars coming to race in Europe or in non-championship one-off American events, so a series at great circuits can only promote the class in the USA.
