The Association will host four official races for 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The 2019 U.S. Formula 5000 Revival Races will take place at the following venues:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>May 3-5: Trans-Am SpeedFest with SVRA at WeatherTech Raceway at Laguna Seca<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>July 18-21: Road America \u2013 The WeatherTech International Challenge with Brian Redman presented by Hawk<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>August 1-4: Brickyard Vintage Racing Invitational with SVRA at Indianapolis Motor Speedway<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>September 5-8: U.S. Vintage Grand Prix with SVRA at Watkins Glen<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>According to Seb Coppola, president of the Formula 5000 Drivers Association: \u201cI am thrilled to be able to announce a season of racing events at four of North America\u2019s best race tracks.\u00a0The WeatherTech Raceway at Laguna Seca with its corkscrew and counter-clockwise flow design is an iconic and thrilling race track where Formula 5000 competed in the 1960s and 1970s. Road America offers four miles of straights, turns, carousel, kink and elevation changes to make this circuit the perfect track for a Formula 5000 car. This mid-July event is a classic vintage racing event with a fun race car excursion to the nearby Village of Elkhart Lake. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Watkins Glen are two of the most iconic raceways in North America if not in the world.
