The second annual Gasparilla Concours d\u2019Elegance will be held on April 17 \u201319th<\/sup> 2020, at Tampa\u2019s beautiful downtown Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. Last year\u2019s Concours was a resounding success in its first effort and was able to donate over $22,000.00 to Shriners Healthcare for Children-Florida.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>This year’s event will celebrate \u201c100 Years of Automotive Excellence\u201d and will feature a 1920 Anderson Six, Convertible Roadster. This precious automobile was made by Anderson Motor Company in Rock Hill South Carolina, a company named after its founder, John Gary Anderson.\u00a0 It was an expensive car costing around $2000 when the car of the day, the Model T Ford only cost around $400. Of the 12-13 Anderson\u2019s which are known to have survived this is the only Convertible Roadster.<\/p>\n

The festivities will kick off Friday night, April 17th. The ceremony will host a \u201cCars-in-the-Park\u201d cocktail party and charity auction at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park on Tampa\u2019s famous River Walk. This will be a family friendly, fun night where non-concours cars and concours cars are welcome to join in the fun prior to Saturday\u2019s main event. It will also offer good food and live music.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, April 18th, the main concours will take place with 100 of the most exciting and beautiful automobiles and motorcycles on display. Food, live music and Shriners Healthcare for Children-Florida patients will be on site to provide entertainment and share their experiences on how Shriners helped improve their lives. The day will be capped off with an impressive awards ceremony.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, April 19th<\/sup>, the weekend will wrap up with a 3 hour \u201cGasparilla Nickel Tour\u201d touring the beautiful Tampa neighborhoods and ending with lunch.<\/p>\n

The Gasparilla Concours d\u2019 Elegance is a 501 c3 Non-Profit Corporation\u00a0with benefits going to Shriners Healthcare for Children-Florida, where those in need are never turned away.\u00a0 The event\u2019s passion is to make the event \u201call about the children\u201d and to put smiles on their faces.
