Road America has announced the addition of Vintage Indy\u2122\u00a0to the event line-up for the INDYCAR REV Group Grand Prix Doubleheader weekend, July 9-12.<\/div>\n

During the weekend, several historic open-wheel race cars will traverse the 4.048-mile road course in multiple sessions demonstrating the cars on-track, sandwiched between breaks where spectators can visit a designated paddock area to see the machines up close and personal.<\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>On Saturday, July 11, there will be a 30-minute session – from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. – followed by another 30-min session from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. On Sunday, July 12, sessions are slated to run from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and then from 2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Corvette enthusiasts will have the rare opportunity to join in on the action during two exclusive ‘Corvette Only’ touring sessions from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, and 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 12. Corvette touring passes are only $20 and numbers for Corvette touring are limited to only 100 cars. Corvette touring passes must be purchased online\u00a0at\u00a0www.roadamerica.com<\/a>\u00a0in advance.\u00a0Event admission is also required to participate in Corvette touring.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The weekend schedule will also be bolstered by Indy Pro 2000, and USF2000 races which help develop the stars of tomorrow with many drivers on the NTT INDYCAR Series grid as graduates.For those unaware, Vintage Indy\u2122\u00a0dedicates itself to the history and preservation of “Indianapolis Championship Cars” created between 1911 and 1997.<\/p>\n

The broader goal of Vintage Indy\u2122\u00a0is to ensure that race cars from this era continue to be appreciated through showcase events, carefully documented records on each car’s history, and an engaging network of car owners, enthusiasts, and professionals that share the same love for what they have coined “The Greatest Cars in Racing.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
