Motor Racing Legends has announced a one-day meeting to be held on the full Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit on Sunday October 25th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

The highlight of the day will be an entirely new three-hour race for Pre-\u201966 GTs and Touring Cars and Fifties Sports Cars, named in honor of the Royal Automobile Club\u2019s iconic Tourist Trophy.\u00a0 The race will run three classes: Pre \u201966 (GTs and Touring Cars); Pre \u201963 GTs; and Pre \u201961 Sports Racing Cars. It is therefore open to a vast array of racing machines from Cobras and Jaguar E-types to period touring cars such as Ford Falcons and Mustangs; Austin-Healeys and MGBs to Lister Jaguars and Lotus 15s.<\/p>\n

Entrants will be encouraged to form teams of three cars \u2013 one from each class \u2013 and the Royal Automobile Club Historic Tourist Trophy will be awarded to the overall winning team. The race will feature refuelling stops; and each car can be driven by up to three drivers. The event will be sponsored by DK Engineering who are the current partners of the Motor Racing Legends Pre \u201963 GT grid.<\/p>\n

The event will also feature a one-hour combined race for the Woodcote Trophy & Stirling Moss Trophy for \u201850s sports cars, and a one-hour combined race for the Historic Touring Car Challenge & Tony Dron Trophy and Sixties Touring Car Challenge with U2TC for Touring cars from the \u201860s, \u201870s and \u201880s.<\/p>\n

The meeting will be based in the Silverstone International Paddock, a large paddock with plenty of space to comply with current Motorsport UK guidelines.\u00a0 In line with current Silverstone Circuit operating policy the event will not be open to the general public.<\/p>\n
