The event is also available to watch for free through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodwood.com\/grr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Goodwood Road &amp; Racing website<\/a> and social media platforms.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p><iframe class=\"zeen-lazy-load-base zeen-lazy-load\" title=\"\u00a320million Aston Martin DBR1&#039;s sliding Goodwood run\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"about:blank\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YFKrgTU8TJc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><noscript><iframe title=\"\u00a320million Aston Martin DBR1&#039;s sliding Goodwood run\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YFKrgTU8TJc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Three Le Mans legends, Romain Dumas, Emanuele\u00a0Pirro, and Tom Kristensen will also join in on the festivities, as they aim to set the best time in the 2.38-mile course within three of the most successful racing cars ever built.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Romain Dumas\u00a0will be behind the wheel of the <a href=\"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/goodwood-festival-of-speed-2019-report-photos\/\">VW\u00a0ID.R<\/a> and the two have history. The two already hold the outright record at Pikes Peak. Just last year, they set the fastest time ever at the Goodwood Hill during the Festival of Speed. They also hold the electric record at the Nurburgring\u00a0 Nordschleife. Emanuele\u00a0Pirro\u00a0will also be joining with his <a href=\"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/audi-le-mans-winners-unite-for-first-time\/\">Audi R8<\/a>, the model he was racing when he won at La Sarthe in three straight years from 2000-2002.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Another daunting opponent is <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tom_Kristensen_(racing_driver)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tom Kristensen<\/a> in the Porsche WSC-95, the car that drove him to his first Le Mans victory in 1997. The Porsche is also one of the only four chassis to hold the honor of winning the French endurance classic two years running.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Due to this year&#8217;s event being \u2018closed doors\u2019 in nature,\u00a0more interesting and faster cars are now competing for the glory. The three Le Mans legends will have to battle against other significant global series, including Formula 1, V8 Supercars, <a href=\"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/hudson-hornet\/\">NASCAR<\/a>, DTM, BTCC, ETCC, Trans-Am, amongst others. Without a doubt, the upcoming\u00a0SpeedWeek\u00a0will be the fastest and most exciting competition ever held at Goodwood.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Aside from the Shootout, the weekend will be filled with the best historic racing in the world. There will also be a rally super special as well as the celebration of 70 years of Formula 1 and Porsche at Le Mans.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Goodwood Speedweek will be held at the Goodwood Motor Circuit on 16-18th October 2020.
