The all-electric Lotus Evija hypercar made its public premi\u00e8re at Goodwood SpeedWeek<\/a> where it joined the historic\u00a0racetrack\u00a0and took part in the Supercar Run.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In support of\u00a0SpeedWeek, there were three pre-production examples of Evija at the event.\u00a0One was decked in a vibrant Lotus \u2018Solaris Yellow\u2019 finish, while the other two had a beautiful black and gold finish, a homage to the iconic Lotus <\/a>liveries\u00a0of the past. A stylized image of the West Sussex circuit<\/a> was also featured on the prototypes along with the words ‘Lotus x Goodwood: Creating History since 1948’ in recognition of the year that the first motorsport event and the first Lotus car<\/a> at Goodwood.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Outside of the engineering team, one of the first people to experience the Evija was Lord March (Charlie, 25, son of the event host, the Duke of Richmond).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cThe Evija is unbelievable \u2013 the power, the speed, I\u2019ve never experienced anything like it \u2013 it was exceptional. This new dawn of electric\u00a0hypercars\u00a0brings ultimate motoring to life for a new generation and a younger audience. \u201cWe\u2019re having a great time demonstrating the Evija here at Goodwood.\u00a0 Bringing the cars to an event like this is a welcome break from the hundreds of hours spent on proving grounds, where there\u2019s a huge amount of open space and long straights to test the car\u2019s performance limits.
