On pole is the Cobra Daytona Coupe driven by Bob Holbert and Dave McDonald, while next to it is another Shelby American entry, the Cobra driven by Tommy Hitchcock, Prince Zourab Tchkotoua and Jo Shlesser. The Daytona Coupe retired after a fire in the pits, while the Hitchcock Cobra would finish in 10th.
