obsessing for oh so long? Well, that\u2019s what Canadians Don Davy, Fraser Earle and Murray Edwards did way back in 1958 when they were mere sprigs of lads. However, once Don Davy had built his car (for less money than Lance Reventlow probably spent on office supplies when he was building his Scarabs), Davy sold his offspring to finance his apprenticeship with the Merlyn Race Car Company in England. After that, the Davy-Earl Special vanished, but a twist of fate brought Earle and Davy north to the town of Wiarton, Ontario, in 1996, where they again came into contact with the car and yet another twist of fate resulted in Davy\u2019s participation in restoring the car he built 40-plus years prior. Therein as the bard says, lies a tale.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
