If you are a fan of the MGA, John Price Williams wrote an excellent history of the model \u2013 \u201cThe MGA: First of a New Line.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201c<strong>First of a New Line\u201d<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>MG unwittingly gave a glimpse of the future when it created a racing version of the TD for the 1951 Le Mans 24-hour race. George Phillips, an English racer, approached Syd Enever, a designer for MG, to design a streamlined body for his Le Mans racecar, UMG 400.
