The firm built only 512 Interceptor Mark III convertibles between 1974 and 1976, 80 percent of which were left-hand drive, destined principally for the North American market. Chassis number 2311\/1984 was originally intended to be built as a coup\u00e9, but as it was designated for the Californian market, it was in fact built in March 1976 as a convertible finished in black with a black interior. It was invoiced on 20th July 1976 to Jensen Motors Inc. in San Francisco, who subsequently sold it to its first owner, S. Weathers Lowin of Los Angeles.
