The Tour Auto 2014 will be staged April 7th to 12th along the secondary roads and racing circuits of France. The 23rd annual rally will see more than 200 automobiles compete against one another over four race circuits and nine stages on closed roads.<\/p>\n

Since 1992, the retrospective of the Tour de France Automobile race follows the French secondary roads along a handpicked itinerary. Renewed each year, the route for the 2014 Tour Auto Optic 2ooo will be concentrated to the east of France.<\/p>\n

After the traditional start in the Grand Palais, in which the cars will be on display for Parisian enthusiasts, the rally will follow a unique course that will be a blend of closed country roads and racing tracks, before the race comes to an end in Marseille. (See 2013 Tour Auto – Report and Photos).<\/a><\/p>\n

To participate in the rally, there is a first requirement to meet: to present an eligible car (or sister car) that participated in the Tour de France Automobile between 1951 and 1973. Then, two categories, Competition or Regularity, are proposed for the entry. The car equipment and the documents required are different according to the selected section. The 2014 Tour Auto Optic 2ooo will honor BMW and Mini.<\/p>\n

Tour Auto Rally 2014 – Stages and Schedule of Events<\/strong><\/p>\n

Monday 7th April:
\nGrand Palais, Paris (Scrutineering and Administrative checks)<\/p>\n

Day One (Tuesday 8th April):
\nParis to Dijon – 1 special stage and Dijon-Prenois circuit<\/p>\n

Day Two (Wednesday 9th April):
\nDijon to Mulhouse – 2 special stages and Anneau du Rhin circuit<\/p>\n

Day Three (Thursday 10th April):
\nMulhouse to Aix-Les-Bains – 2 special stages and La Bresse circuit<\/p>\n

Day Four (Friday 11th April):
\nAix-Les-Bains to Valence – 3 special stages<\/p>\n

Day Five (Saturday 12th April):
\nValence to Marseille – 1 special stage and Paul Ricard circuit<\/p>\n
