The BRM Association held their annual track day at Blyton Park, Nr. Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. \u00a0A good number of attendees including ex-employees, drivers, owners and enthusiasts enjoyed dry, although windswept \u00a0conditions and witnessed demonstration runs of some of the BRM marque former challengers including the famous 1957 P25 that in the hands of Jo Bonnier gave the Bourne team their first GP win in 1957. Also appearing were the P48, P261 and P160 cars along with a number of other racing challengers that fought \u2018on track\u2019 in period with BRM.<\/div>\n

A good number of ex-BRM personnel were on hand, including mechanics Dick Salmon, Ben Casey, John Sismey and Rick Hall (all of whom have been interviewed in previous issues of VR), together with VR columnist and former BRM pilot Howden Ganley, former designer Mike Pilbeam and BRM Association Patron, David Owen (son of Sir Alfred Owen) of Rubery Owen Holdings Ltd. The day was thoroughly enjoyable and a fantastic opportunity for those associated with the now defunct marque to reminisce about the \u2018good old days\u2019.<\/div>\n

The BRM Association\u00a0was formed in 2012\u00a0by BRM enthusiasts\u00a0<\/span>Eric Biggadike, John Burt and Anthony Delaine-Smith\u00a0with the support and co-operation of\u00a0David Owen OBE, Rubery Owen Holdings Ltd\u00a0and Rick Hall of Hall & Hall. \u00a0The aim of the BRM Association is to promote\u00a0the history and legacy of BRM\u00a0and provide a forum for\u00a0BRM car owners, former employees and enthusiasts. \u00a0Further information –\u00a0http:\/\/brmassociation.org\/<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
