On the eve of the 2010 Monaco F1, we present the biennial Grand Prix de Monaco Historique. Supercars.net usually doesn’t cover F1 but this event attracts some of the best entrants and cars. The circuit hasn’t changed since 1929 and the historic cars get to race it two weeks before the modern F1 takes place.<\/p>\n

Separated into eight classes, this year Monaco dropped the cute Formula Juniors in favor of some more potent F3 machines. Our favorites always come from Grid A which is typcially packed with prewar Alfa Romeos, ERAs and Bugattis. Like every year, Monaco reserved a race for sports cars which had a world-class grid.<\/p>\n

Dirk de Jager made the run down to Monaco to capture everything that the weekend had to offer for our feature gallery<\/a>. One of this favorite cars was the Squire 1500 which had been shown at the Villa d’Este Concours just weeks earlier.<\/p>\n
