As most of us know all too well, early in the \u201960s, Ford was positioning itself to acquire Ferrari. Ferrari was struggling financially and negotiations had gotten pretty far along until Enzo was made aware that he would no longer have complete autonomy over his beloved racing department. As a result, Enzo quixotically called off the deal, sending Henry Ford II into a rage.
