Author Shephard has taken a collection of stories he wrote during that decade, mixed them together and added further detail and information to produce this book. Thus is the reader taken on the journey with the team as it rubs and bends and trims and shapes its car in response to lessons learned on the salt each year, questing ever for more speed the next time out.<\/p>\n

A wealth of incredible images illustrate the story and give the reader a real feel for the human effort involved, which is more the true story here than simply the car going fast. An excellent read.
