Wheatley and Brian Morgan<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cThe Restoration of Antique and Classic Cars\u201d was originally published in the United Kingdom, in 1958, under the title \u201cThe Restoration of Vintage and Thoroughbred Cars.\u201d Today, Wheatley and Morgan\u2019s book, along with its companion volume \u201cAntique &amp; Classic Cars: Their Maintenance and Operation\u201d (available separately), is justifiably considered to be a classic and informative description of the work involved in overhauling and restoring antique and pre-war British cars.<\/p>\n<p>Written by renowned members of the Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) during the 1950s, these two books serve dual roles. On the surface, these books provide a nostalgic look at the then relatively new craft of restoring vintage automobiles. However, despite their age, there is still much to be learned about the restoration and maintenance of pre-war vehicles within in these pages.
