He leads readers through the 1976 season nearly day by day, outlining all the factors that shaped the tumultuous duel between James Hunt and Niki Lauda for supremacy at the pinnacle of their sport.<\/p>\n<p>The imagery accompanying Fearnley\u2019s words comes from the archives of LAT Photographic and provides the necessary visual backdrop for the tale being told. That classic 1976 World Championship season is not, however, the sole focus here, as both drivers are also profiled before and after that year, the prior rise and subsequent \u201cfall\u201d of their respective careers discussed with similar insight and detail.
