Le Grand Prix Automobile de Monaco – Story of a Legend 1929-60<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/a>A few years ago, Naquin produced the ultimate Monaco history, a huge three-volume set in French and English with unrivaled photography. There were a limited number printed that regularly bring a large price at auction.<\/p>\n

Now, Hamilton White of Monaco Auctions has reprinted the first volume in English, retaining all the quality of the original edition but at a much more manageable price. It is still a big tome, covering every race in detail from 1929 when \u201cWilliams\u201d won in his Bugatti, through 1960 where Moss took the first of two wins in a Rob Walker Lotus. Each race is described in detail, accompanied by a superb range of black and white photos. There are stunning portraits of Nuvolari, Dreyfus and Enzo Ferrari on the grid in 1933, a great full-page shot of Zehender\u2019s Maserati 8C in 1935, and a double-page spread of the start in 1957. The lesser-known drivers, such as Andre Testut in 1958, are not ignored either. Each chapter has the entries, each practice session, the grid and the results. The 360 pages include a list of participants at the end. The edition is limited to 1,000, and if you want the ultimate Monaco record, this is it.<\/p>\n
