Last weekend, the hedgefund capital of America welcomed 250 classic and exotic cars for their 12th annual Concours d’Elegance which was spread out over two days.<\/p>\n

The first was devoted to American Cars and offered a good variety of muscle and chrome-laden flair. Highlights included a pair of Packard concepts and the sole Lincoln Indianapolis show car. Among these, Judge Joseph Cassini took the top honors for his stunning Packard LeBaron Sport Coupe<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sunday was focused on European marques and specifically the best that Italy, Germany and France produced. On hand were a couple of specially bodied Aston Martins which were a pleasant and unexpected surprise. At the end of the day, a sweeping Bugatti was an easy pick for best of show.<\/p>\n

Christies also held an auction on the second day which fetched a remarkable $852 500 USD for an unrestored ‘barn find’ Type 57 Atalante. It will no doubt be better than new the next time we run into it.<\/p>\n
