The largest class is reserved for concept cars and it usually displays at least one world premiere.<\/p>\n<p>This year, Zagato decided the Concours was the right occasion to debut their interpretation of a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.supercars.net\/cars\/3793.html\">modern Maserati<\/a>. As well as some standard Villa d&#8217;Este shots of the new car, we also have some twilight photography that pairs it with equally as dramatic backdrops. Additionally, three other Zagato-bodied cars were on hand including the 1929 Mille Miglia-winning Alfa Romeo.<\/p>\n<p>Any supercar nuts will be delighted to see the first real-life photos of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.supercars.net\/cars\/3487.html\">MC12 Corse<\/a> which was driven in and around the premise with dealer plates! Painted in all Black, chassis 001 was a real treat even if it wasn&#8217;t part of the official show.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, the Best of Show went to a dramatic <a href=\"http:\/\/www.supercars.net\/cars\/1219.html\">SSK Trossi<\/a> which we had picked over two weeks ago as the winner.<\/p>\n<p>After leading up to the Villa d&#8217;Este during the preceding weeks, we can finally bring all that it had to offer. Both Dirk de Jager and Matteo TT Stucchi worked hard to bring the best they could from two days of the best Italian Concours. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.supercars.net\/gallery\/119513\/1288\/1.html\">Their combined gallery<\/a> captures almost everything that makes the event so special: impressive backdrops and our favorite supercars.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2007 Villa d&#8217;Este One of the main draws to the Villa d&#8217;Este Concours is its dedication to new design.
