Gemballa has gained a reputation for its extravagant and expensive upgrade kits for various supercars, and one of its most famous creations is the Mirage GT based on the Porsche Carrera GT<\/a>. This exclusive vehicle, produced by the esteemed German manufacturer and tuning company, underwent a series of bespoke modifications to enhance its performance, aesthetics, aerodynamics, and weight-saving capabilities.<\/p>\n

\"2005<\/a><\/p>\n

The Mirage GT<\/a> boasts an extensive use of carbon-fiber in both the bodywork and chassis. Its design includes a reimagined front bumper with three large air intakes, a vented bonnet, recessed door elements, a roof-mounted air intake, and a carbon-fiber targa roof panel. The rear features a redesigned fascia and side skirts, along with a larger rear wing that incorporates an electrically operated center flap. The car’s performance has also been upgraded with a Gemballa sport clutch and an uprated race-style electrically adjustable coilover suspension.<\/p>\n

\"2005<\/a><\/p>\n

Through a customized ram air intake system, a more efficient stainless-steel exhaust with sport metal catalytic converters, and a remapped ECU, Gemballa managed to squeezed out an additional 58 bhp from the Carrera GT’s 5.7-liter V-10 engine, elevating the total output to 670 bhp and 630 Nm of torque. This results in a swift 0 to 100 km\/h sprint in just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 335 km\/h.<\/p>\n

According to Gemballa<\/a>, just 25 Carrera GTs were ever converted to Mirage GTs, making them an extremely rare commodity.<\/p>\n
