Sebring International Raceway is the spiritual home of SVRA, where the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association was founded over 40 years ago.<\/p>\n

The track features a demanding 3.7-mile, 17-turn road course set on a former military airfield, enriched by the participation of renowned racing series and legendary drivers that contribute to its prestigious history. It holds a special appeal for drivers, with its distinctive mix of rugged concrete and asphalt surfaces providing a uniquely challenging driving experience.<\/p>\n

The Sebring SpeedTour showcases extensive fields and fierce competition across all SVRA race groups, attracting hundreds of vintage race cars of every era, make, and model each year. Bill Warner, a racer, collector, photographer, and the founder of the Amelia Island Concours d\u2019Elegance, will take on the role of grand marshal. The event is further highlighted by the Hagerty Cars and Caffeine Car Show and SVRA’s 2023 season awards banquet, enhancing the weekend’s celebrations.<\/p>\n

International GT Race Cars<\/h2>\n

The International GT (IGT) at Sebring is a prominent North American racing series that comprises three distinct championships designed for late-model Porsche and Ferrari competitors. This series is mainly geared towards sportsman drivers, although professional drivers or coaches occasionally participate, especially in endurance races. The championships offered by IGT include The Stuttgart Cup, Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy, and The Maranello Cup.<\/p>\n

The Stuttgart Cup is for Cayman models, including 3.4 and 3.8-liter cars. The Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy features Porsche 996, 997, and other GT3 Cup cars from the past decade. The Maranello Cup is designed for Ferrari models, specifically the 360, 430, and 458 challenge spec cars. These championships are contested over the season in both sprint and endurance races, where competitors strive for class honors within their respective categories. Typically, a race weekend includes at least one endurance event and two sprint races that contribute points towards the season championships.<\/p>\n

IGT competitors are required to use Pirelli P Zero racing slicks and rain tires, as Pirelli Tire North America is the official tire supplier for the series. Additionally, the series enjoys support from several partners, including Mission Foods, BRM Chronographes, and Pacifico Costa Rica, which adds to the professional and competitive atmosphere of the events.<\/p>\n

TransAm Series<\/h2>\n

The Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli’s TA, XGT, SGT, and GT classes began their 2024 season with a race at Sebring International Raceway, returning to the site where the series originally started in 1966. This event marks a significant moment in the series, continuing its long-standing tradition at one of the most challenging circuits on the Trans Am schedule.<\/p>\n
