Unveiled in April 2010, the Ferrari 599 GTO<\/a> was the third model to bear the prestigious “Gran Turismo Omologato” name, following the iconic 250 GTO<\/a> and 288 GTO<\/a>. This road-legal version of the track-focused 599 XX boasted 670 horsepower thanks to reduced engine friction, a higher compression ratio, and redesigned intake and exhaust systems.<\/p>\n

Weighing nearly 100kg less, it accelerated from 0-60 mph in under 3.3 seconds and reached a top speed of over 208mph. With a front-engine layout, it was Ferrari’s fastest road car at the time, outperforming the mid-engined Enzo around Fiorano.<\/p>\n

Carbon ceramic brakes with carbon pads ensured superior stopping power. Production was limited to 599 units with 125 of them were US-market examples.<\/p>\n

Offered for sale by RM Sotheby’s<\/a>, this 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO<\/a>, chassis no. 182832, was completed in June 2011 and delivered new to Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale in Florida, where it remained for its first four years.<\/p>\n

Presented in pristine condition, the car has only 1,900 miles from new and is finished in two-tone Nero with Rosso Corsa racing livery, featuring the optional central racing stripe and painted mirrors specific to the 599 GTO. The interior includes Nero leather with Daytona-style seats accented by Rosso inserts.<\/p>\n
