The restomod scene continues to surprise with unique creations, and the TWR Supercat<\/a> is no exception. This Jaguar XJS-based prototype channels the spirit of Group A touring car success with a bold, brutalist design reminiscent of 1980s AMG styling. While still 80% complete in terms of dynamics and refinement, the Supercat provides a clear glimpse into its ambitious vision.<\/p>\n

The Supercat is a product of the revived TWR brand, co-founded by Fergus Walkinshaw, son of motorsport legend Tom Walkinshaw. Automotive designer Magnus Walker, known for his work in the Porsche world, was brought in as a consultant. Walker’s involvement, along with designer Khyzyl Saleem, ensured the project incorporated both innovation and a nod to the Jaguar\u2019s heritage.<\/p>\n

The car features a 5.6L supercharged V12 engine with 660 horsepower, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. Its re-engineered chassis incorporates custom subframes, electronically adjustable dampers, and modern ABS and traction control systems for enhanced performance and handling, a fact highlighted by Jethro Bovingdon from Top Gear<\/a> magazine in his first drive review of the\u00a0Jaguar restomod.<\/p>\n
