Despite its striking design and cutting-edge technology, it struggles to capture hearts the way traditional hypercars do which could probably due to its high asking price which ranges from $2.1-$2.4 million.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"518\">As Lotus\u2019s first hypercar and all-electric model, the Evija sets a new standard in dynamic capability and design. The name \u201cEvija\u201d means \u201cthe first in existence,\u201d a fitting nod to the car\u2019s pioneering status. Limited to just 130 units \u2013 a tribute to its Type 130 development code \u2013 the Evija emphasizes exclusivity and technical excellence.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"520\" data-end=\"1044\">Built at the historic Lotus facility in Hethel, the Evija introduces a fresh design language, highlighted by dramatic Venturi tunnels and a carbon fibre monocoque chassis weighing only 129kg. It features a revolutionary all-electric powertrain developed with Williams Advanced Engineering, delivering 2,000 PS and 1,704 Nm of torque. Four independent e-motors and torque vectoring ensure exceptional agility, while a suite of advanced cooling and battery technologies support high-speed performance with minimal degradation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"520\" data-end=\"1044\">Lotus also introduced a highly modified version of their all-electric hypercar called the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/2000-hp-lotus-evija-x-crashes-at-goodwood-festival-of-speed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Evija X<\/a>. This hypercar was designed to break the Nurburgring lap record, aiming to achieve the fastest time for a car with a production chassis.
