Its V8 engine boasts the highest power-to-displacement ratio globally, and its hybrid systems rank among the most advanced and daring ever built.<\/p>\n<p>In collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@carwow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carwow<\/a>, the automaker organized this showdown, matching the Jesko Absolut\u2014its fastest production car\u2014against the Regera, a previous world record holder. The Jesko Absolut, which recently claimed the record for accelerating from 0 to 400 km\/h and back to 0 in just 27.83 seconds, took center stage.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/koenigsegg-jesko-absolut\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jesko Absolut<\/a> is powered by a 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 1,600 horsepower and 1,500 Nm of torque, all sent to the rear wheels via a unique 9-speed multi-clutch automatic transmission. The car weighs just 1390 kg and has Michelin Cup 2R tires.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/2016-koenigsegg-regera\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Regera<\/a>, on the other hand, combines the same V8 with three electric motors to deliver a total of 1500 hp and 2000 Nm of torque through a unique single-speed transmission, akin to systems used in EVs. Its hybrid setup, including a 75 kg 4.5 kWh battery, brings its total weight to 1590 kg.<\/p>\n<p>In the quarter-mile, the Jesko clocked 8.9 seconds, ahead of the Regera&#8217;s 10.2. From 0 to 60 mph, the Jesko managed 2.78 seconds, while the Regera followed with 3.4 seconds. The Jesko&#8217;s dominance increased at higher speeds, even with both drivers struggling for grip.
