Ferrari has unveiled the Amalfi, the long-anticipated successor to the Roma<\/a> and Top Gear<\/a> had an early glimpse of it. Named after Italy\u2019s scenic coastal region, the Amalfi is designed to be the brand\u2019s most accessible car\u2014without losing its identity as a thoroughbred sports grand tourer.<\/p>\n

Design-wise, the Amalfi modernizes the Roma\u2019s silhouette with subtle aggression. The rear lights are now hidden, the active spoiler is sleeker, and the tail looks more unified. Ferrari\u2019s design chief avoids giving cars a traditional \u201cface,\u201d opting for a minimalist, visor-like front fascia.<\/p>\n

The wheels stand out as a design triumph. Milled from a single block of aluminum with a unique Y-spoke pattern, they\u2019re both functional and beautiful\u2014showcasing Ferrari\u2019s engineering finesse.
\nUnder the hood, the Amalfi sticks with Ferrari\u2019s 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8, now producing 640 hp. Paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox, it hits 62 mph in 3.3 seconds and tops out at 200 mph.<\/p>\n

Inside, the Amalfi reintroduces tactile buttons on the steering wheel and a physical engine start switch\u2014small changes that significantly improve usability. The infotainment system is quicker and easier to use, the interior more spacious, and the materials top-tier.<\/p>\n
