Its elusive, practically unicorn status, has cemented the car in history as more of an enigma rather than the industry gamechanger it had all the potential of becoming\u2014God forbid, you ever get to see one in person.<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully that sentiment changes with its upcoming predecessor, currently dubbed the <strong>Lexus LFR<\/strong>. Just over 3 years have passed since <a href=\"https:\/\/lexusenthusiast.com\/2024\/11\/24\/gr-gt3-concept-will-become-the-lexus-lfr-and-toyota-gr-gt\/\">Toyota unveiled the GR GT3 race car at the 2022 Tokyo Auto Salon<\/a>. Marking its first official public appearance, mystery nevertheless continues to shroud the remarkable silhouette of the company&#8217;s new halo car. Test mules have also recently been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KQRPfSkAYH4\">spotted testing at the &#8216;Ring and Laguna Seca<\/a>, so things are most certainly heating up.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from the vaguely-revealing visual cues which arguably leave less up to the imagination, practically nothing else has been divulged however. Rumors of Toyota\/Lexus employing a <strong>hybridized twin-turbocharged V8<\/strong> powerplant continue to persist, with eagle-eyed (<em>or rather, bat-eared<\/em>) observers going as far to confirm it being a matter of fact.
